Room with a view

Doors to shower & Bath Deluxe Family w/ Verandah

Once onboard the magnificent Disney Dream, we headed to our accommodations, which were a Deluxe Family Ocean view Stateroom with Veranda, or private sanctuary high above on the port side of deck 10. We had pre-ordered some services and the vouchers were waiting in our room for us when we arrived including water and rain forest passes for the spa.   Our room steward came by several time and introduced himself to us, making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we need.

We settled in and unpacked our day bags before heading out to explore the ship. The Cove Bar was a fabulous retreat to get a drink before sailing.

Cushy Bed
Roomy and comfortable, the room is designed to sleep five, but I wouldn't unless it was with small children. Comfortably it sleeps 3, maybe 4, depending on size.  The d├ęcor theme is Disney Nautical with a luxurious yet relaxed feeling to it. The split bath, includes a tub and separate sinks, allowing mercifully for two people to use the space at the same time, all Disney Cruise Line Guests will now find luxurious H20 Plus spa, bath and shower products stocked in every bathroom. The two bathroom compartments remind me a little bit of being on a plane.

The bed is very comfortable with super squishy pillows, and soft linens. The glow of the iHome, allows just enough light for one to see at night.  Though I've been having a little trouble with the motion while awake.  I slept very well.

Desk with phoneOne of the special touches awaiting us in the room were the Wave Phones, provided free for use by guests while onboard. Sitting in it’s base with some instructions the phones are easy to use with numbers based on the cabin number. I think this is a great feature, especially for groups and families that will be split up onboard. But one must be careful with the Wave because losing, damaging, or failing to return a phone will cost you $250 per phone.

And of course I needed to show you a couple of our views...
